I attended Villa Dante school in May 2010, unfortunately for only two weeks. Tropea is truly an incredible place to study Italian and become integrated in local Calabrian culture. Everyone I met, including the school's director, Francesco, my teacher Antonella, and the residents of Tropea were exceptionally warm, friendly and accommodating. I felt I had the faculty's undivided attention, as if I were the only person in the class. My classes were efficient, dynamic and entertaining. I learned so much in only two weeks! After a few hours of intensive studying, it was so easy to relax on the Caribien-like white sandy beach or continue to improve my Italian skills by talking with Tropea locals over a nice cold glass of Proseco. The school provided me with lovely cozy apartment where I spent many pleasurable afternoons on the balcony overlooking the blue see. Tropea is a wonderful place to unwind from the every day stressful life in U.S. Despite very relaxing atmosphere, my Italian improved significantly.
